The Chico Animal Shelter is YOUR community animal shelter, and there are many ways that you can get involved, from volunteering at the shelter to donating much needed supplies. If you would like more information about volunteering, submit the contact form below!
VOLUNTEERING DURING THE CAMP FIRE
Due to the influx of animals (and people!) coming to the shelter because of the fire, we are in need of volunteers at the Chico Animal Shelter for cleaning shifts. We are using Signup.com as a way for volunteers to get connected and registered. The link can be found below. This calendar will be updated frequently and will be a place to find information about volunteering during this event. If you have any questions please call Chico Animal Shelter at 530-894-5630 or email the Volunteer Coordinator, Hannah Booth, at email@example.com.
**NOTE: DUE TO THE CAMPFIRE ALL ORIENTATIONS ARE CANCELLED AND NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE RESPONDED TO. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING AT THIS TIME, SEE THE STATEMENT ABOVE.** Volunteers are the life blood of any animal shelter. We are always accepting new volunteers to help with many of our day to day tasks like working with our adoptable dogs, cleaning and shelter upkeep, socializing adoptable cats, and helping with animal adoptions. Other volunteer opportunities include tabling events, public education and promotion, and assisting with basic office tasks.
