Found Animals is a website where you can register your pet's microchip free of charge!  They will register a microchip from any chip manufacturer:

Paws of Chico provides financial assistance to pet owners who need help with the cost of having their cat or dog spayed or neutered.  Applications can be picked up at the City of Chico Animal Shelter, or for more information about the program, please call 895-2109 or visit the PAWS website:
