Name: Niko
Description: Chinese Crested
Transfer to: Crest-Care Inc.
Transfer Date: 10/28/2012
Outcome:
Marlene, the California Coordinator for Crest-Care Inc had this to say when asked how Niko and Sully were doing. "They are working on potty training and are almost there. They use the pad indoors, but often were forgetting to ask to go outside or would go outside, not do their business then come right back in to use the pad. They are both now crate trained as well.
I am still working on some aggression issues with Niko and some barking issues with both. I also believe Sully to be a long haired Chihuahua not a Pomeranian. Niko could also have some Xolo in him as his teeth and demeanor seem very Xoloish.
So...the upshot is they are UTD on vaccinations, are happy and healthy and I should have them on the web and ready to be adopted very soon."

He is in excellent health. This is an animal that will require/demand a great deal of time and patience. Name: Bebe
Description: Duroc/Hampshire
Transfer to: Snorts n Tails
Transfer Date: 09/17/2013
Outcome: Bebe came in as a stray and quickly became a staff favorite. When no one came to claim her, the Rescue Coordinator took a very personal look at rescues all over the North State. When none had room or seemed reputable, Snorts and Tails, a rescue in San Diego that works specifically with pigs, was found. For transport, Pilots n Paws, a private pilot rescue group that volunteers their time in the air, was informed about the situation. They set up three different checkpoints to fly Bebe from Chico to San Diego. She was met with a foster from Snorts and Tails who was really interesting in adopting her.

Update: Bebe, now Olivia, is doing great at her new home in Vista California. After she arrived at the rescue the staff noticed she was actually a Duroc/Hampshire cross, much bigger than what we assumed was a pot belly pig, around 400lbs more. In this picture she is in the front and her buddy Pepe was in the background who is a normal pot belly pig size. Olivia's new owner has always loved the large pig breeds, and was very excited to learn how big she will get. .
