Mr Bosley has the nicest manners of any dog at Chico Animal Shelter. He sits and shakes on command, walks easily by my side and keeps a close eye on me to see where we are going. We call that "checking in" and it is the most important factor in training a dog. If they will look at you they can be trained easily. If not, the training goes much slower and with more frustration. Bosley is also very focused on treats which makes training a lot easier. As you can see Bosley is a handsome boy with a coat similar to a yellow lab. He is very smart and loves people but does have some anxiety issues. Probably not good to leave him home alone but a proper kennel would be fine. He has a large kennel here that looks out on a big courtyard and he spends all day calmly looking out. He has had very good experiences at foster homes with other dogs but small children could be a problem.
Take this boy home for a weekend and see if you don't want to make it permanent.
